What Is a Transmission?

The transmission is a system of gears and related components that enables the driver to control the speed and torque of the vehicle. Driveshaft

The driveshaft delivers power from the transmission to the differential, which ultimately transfers it to the wheels. It must be robust and durable to withstand the rotational force.

When the driver selects a gear, the transmission adjusts the gear ratio to match the engine speed with the desired wheel speed.
