Brian & Ricky purchased Bowles Automotive from Tommy Bowles in 2005. Tommy's father, Edsel, started this business out of his home off Hwy 3 in the 1950s. In 1989, the building we currently occupy was built and we are proud to still be here all these years later honoring the name Bowles. A name which has become known as synonymous with "honesty" in this town.
Brian Mullins

Brian was born in a sleepy little town know as Clintwood, VA; but grew up in Woodbridge, VA. Brian purchased his first gas station when he was 19 and grew it into an enterprise of owning 5 stations in the No. VA area. After many years, Brian decided to relocate to Lake Norman area and focus more on his family.
Ricky Exline
Co-Owner
Ricky was born in Front Royal, VA; and grew up in Woodbridge, VA. He's an avid racecar fan and even raced himself for many years at Old Dominion Speedway, in Manassas, VA; Ricky owned Exline Automotive in Springfield, VA, before moving to Lake Norman and eventually becoming a co-owner at Bowles. He has now "semi-retired" from the day-to-day operations but continues to frequent the shop and area. He currently resides in Fredericksburg, VA, his sweetheart, Kathy.
Phillip Dagenhart

Phillip is our link to the "locals" here at Bowles. Born and raised in Troutman, he brings a local hospitality to the table that does not go unnoticed. Many say that Phillip is now the "face of Bowles". He's always available to help and offer an explanation of things and more times than not has a smile to offer.
